He is known for his anti-aging and grooming knowledge and is often called upon to recommend products and advise on the latest male grooming fads. Also a certified Life Coach, James incorporates this into his TV work where possible, giving him an additional insight into the vacuous nature of celebrity's lives and their turbulent relationships.

James regularly writes for In Touch, Closer Weekly and Life & Style magazines about Royal events.

In the UK he was best known for his lottery balls, hosting various National Lottery draw formats on BBC1, and the also the EuroMillions draw. James reported for Travel Channel and, in the past, hosted Disney Channel UK, Hot Wired (a gadget show) and the Glory ball live game-show for Challenge TV. His voiceover work includes '1 vs. 100', where he hosted a live game-show via Xbox Primetime in the UK and Ireland.

He started in broadcasting with BBC Radio and as lead singer/songwriter of his own pop band 'In 2 Deep'.
